Meet Race

I must've lost my bloody marbles.

I mean, who in their right mind adopts a wild horse when they cat even ride?

Well, me.

My name is Keeley, and this six-month-old fluffball is Race.

Isn't she absolutely gorgeous?

I put my hand up to adopt her after seeing desperate posts from Clearview Brumby Rescue, on Facebook.

They were trying to find homes for the horses that had been trapped in the Kosciuszko National Park.

Sounds cruel, doesn't it?

Taking a horse from the wild and plunging it into a life of captivity feels all kinds of wrong.​

And yet, the alternative is much, much worse.

Thousands of our iconic brumbies are about to be culled. Many more are already dead.

I started this blog because I believe rehoming Brumbies is better than killing them.

And I reckon by the time you've read these real life Brumby stories, you might think so too.​​
